The health system makes an extraordinary commitment to providing safe, high-quality care, and is routinely measured against strict standards. UC Davis Medical Center performs well in evaulations and comparisons by a wide variety of observers, including government agencies, nonprofit organizations, industry groups and the news media. As an academic health center, it undergoes this scrutiny while treating very highly acute and complex cases — and while working to create new medical breakthroughs that save and improve lives.
