Darin Latimore, M.D.

Dr. Latimore graduated from UC Davis School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at UC Davis. He joined the Sacramento Kaiser Permanente Group as an HIV specialist and subsequently became site program director for internal medicine. In 2002, he was appointed associate program director for the categorical residency program at UC Davis.

His duties focus on assessment of clinical competence, the resident evaluation process, and ambulatory education. He has developed innovative curricula on health policy and practice-based learning as part of the ambulatory block rotation. Dr. Latimore is an active member of the ACP Health and Public Policy Committee and a delegate to the California Medical Association. He has won several awards including the 2000 "Heroes in Health Care Award". His clinical and academic interests include HIV medicine and health-care policy. Darin is strongly interested in international health has done humanitarian medical work in Nigeria.

Darin’s personal interests include competitive horseback riding, growing roses, and spending time with his daughter.
