Claire Pomeroy, M.D., M.B.A., is Vice Chancellor for Human Health Sciences at UC Davis and dean of the UC Davis School of Medicine. She is an expert in infectious diseases and a professor of internal medicine and microbiology and immunology.

James E. Goodnight Jr., M.D., Ph.D., Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and director of the Practice Management Board, is responsible for designing the structure, rules, responsibilities, funding needs and physician medical practice goals for UC Davis.

William McGowan is chief financial officer for UC Davis Health System, responsible for overall financial operations of the health system.

Thomas S. Nesbitt, M.D., M.P.H., Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategic Technologies and Alliances, is responsible for advancing the UC Davis Health System’s excellence in telemedicine.

Heather Young, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N., a nurse leader, educator and scientist, serves as Associate Vice Chancellor for Nursing at UC Davis Health System and dean for the new Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Young is a nationally recognized expert in gerontological nursing and rural health.
