UC Davis Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program
While innovation and experience distinguish the UC Davis Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program and its professional team, the benefit to you is best represented by our consistently high ratings in patient satisfaction and patient outcomes. In other words, our transplant recipients are literally living proof of the commitment to excellence exemplified throughout the UC Davis Health System.
The UC Davis Transplant Program’s reputation includes that of being a professional trendsetter. In 1997, the surgical team became the first program west of the Mississippi to perform the laparoscopic donor nephrectomy procedure. The program also led the way in pancreas transplantation, performing the first transplant at UC Davis in 1993. Now, through a partnership with the Alliance for Paired Donation, the UC Davis program’s innovation and leadership in the field of kidney transplantation provides the opportunity to match incompatible living donor pairs with other pairs across the country. We thank you for your interest in the UC Davis Transplant Center.
